Who is AORA?

AORA: (A-OR-RA) An Oracle and healer in ancient times. Her name means "Golden Light" and is the root of the word AURA!

AORA played an important role as a Oracle priestess. She was often consulted, upon the birth of a child, to create a crystal or gemstone amulet of empowerment and healing. This amulet would remind the child of its divine nature and help it to remember the spiritual gifts present at birth. Our "Chalice of Life" reading was created with this in mind, from ancient crystal healing techniques.

Aora was a well-known Healer and Mystic in ancient Egypt, Atlantis and Greece! She entered Egypt around 2750 BC, in the times of Zoser, an early pharaoh of Egypt. AORA lived in the city of Zezirath, near ancient Memphis. She founded a Mystery School for Crystal and gemstone Healing! Zezirath was visited by pilgrims desiring healing, enlightenment and were those seeking the answers to Life's mysteries and questions. It was also the site of the first pyramids built in Egypt!

THE DREAM

This journey begins as many do, with a mystical voyage. In this adventure, it was an actual inner experience that sparked the creation of the AORA Gemstone Oracle Cards. The first journey to meet AORA transcended ordinary reality and took me into another dimension or plane of consciousness! In the spring of 1993, I was at a crossroads, without a tangible sense of what I wanted to do, to take the next step in this Life. The winds of change had swept through my world very abruptly, and I became aware of an unknown level of reality, concerning the realm of gemstones & crystals. My sense of spiritual and physical reality was greatly expanded, and it was at this crossroads, that the first encounter occurred, and I met AORA (A-OR-RA).

The first journey to the Oracle came without any warning, after what I took for a most "ordinary" day. That night, I had one of the most lucid mystical experiences of my life. It began by my arrival in a cave with a high cathedral-like ceiling. The cave was softly illuminated, and smelled rather sweet, instead of the earthy scent you usually encounter. In retrospect, I remember the scent of a sandalwood-like fragrance permeating the cave. I looked down and saw I was standing on a circular raised platform, that was made of a coppery-gold burnished metal incised and engraved with ancient-looking symbols. Directly in front of me, was a beautifully carved archway or portal, that looked like the blue gemstone Lapis Lazuli. Turning on the platform, I saw that there were 11 other archways, each carved out of a different gemstone. My first reaction was to walk over to the Lapis archway and touch it. Just as I was about to do this, I sensed a presence and turned, and saw a woman standing in front of me. She suggested that I not touch the Portal gateway as she called it, until we had an opportunity to talk. She introduced herself as AORA (A-OR-RA), and clearly pointed out, that I was to pay close attention to her words. She was rather small in size, just over 5 feet tall, but her presence was immense. AORA told me that I would remember what had taken place here, and that it was not a Dream, but that I probably would relate to it better in that context for the time being! She explained that this was easier on most person's sense of reality.

I asked AORA the first of many questions. My mind was full of what seemed like a million inquiries. "Where was I ?" was my first one. AORA explained that this place was an access point to the realms where the energies of gemstones originated. That each gem had a energy pattern and a place of origin in the physical universe. This place in which we stood, she called the Gemstone Portal chamber. It was the entry way to the energies of each species of gemstone and mineral. Each of the 12 gemstone archways represented one of the Gemstone Families. AORA told me that each type of gemstone on Earth was a living entity. All of the mineral and crystal kingdom was alive and had a very important purpose and place in our lives! She referred to the gemstone and crystal kingdom as a Group Consciousness, that had a profound effect on personal & planetary evolution. I always had a sense of the life-force energy within stones, but had never really thought of them as life-forms before!

"Gemstones have always been revered for their beauty and material values, but often overlooked for their mystical and spiritual properties." AORA went on to say that down through our Earth history (since Atlantis), gemstones have often been given mystic qualities, without a genuine understanding of the true nature of their potentials. The early Egyptians and Atlanteans understood and explored the vast power & purposes within the crystal world. But, it has not been until recently, that this information has really been explored again , in depth. AORA said that she was saddened by the modern trend to turn gemstones into a New Age fad of almost religious proportions.They were to be respected as healing and energetic tools!"

The knowledge and wisdom of the gemstone kingdom was very simple and direct, AORA emphasized. "It has always been about self-empowerment" she stressed. It was not what the stones could do for us, but that they were keys or portals to unlock our own potential and spiritual/psychic power.

To say the least, I was pretty amazed at this point in our conversation. I had a strong desire to investigate the cave further, but at the same time I felt it was important to listen to my new guide. I went over to the LAPIS LAZULI archway and placed my hand on the blue stone. Surprisingly, it was not cool to the touch as I expected a stone to be. An image began to form within the opening, like a hologram in some sci-fi movie. I asked AORA what the image represented. Instead of answering my question, she took me by the hand and escorted me through the portal archway. My body tingled and coalesced for a moment! We had stepped through into yet another realm, and stood in a moonlit garden setting, in front of an ancient Egyptian-style temple. The temple complex was constructed completely of Lapis. In the center of it was a Lapis-sheathed building, with a waterfall fountain flowing over the steps that led inside. As we approached the waterfall, the water diverted enough to allow us to gain entry. Inside, we sat on a carved Lapis bench and talked.....
